DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – The remains of a woman were found on Sunday as firefighters battled a blaze at a Daytona Beach home, fire officials said.
Officials said police were first called to a Cannon Street house about domestic disturbances, but when they arrived at the house, they saw flames coming out of it and asked firefighters to surrender on site.

The victim has been identified as Viola Miller. Authorities said she died before the fire.
Daytona Beach Police said they arrested Deandra Anderson, 33, on Monday. He is charged with first degree murder and is being held without bail in the Volusia County Jail.
Family members have said their grandmother was living here with someone before all of this happened.
“She’s done so much for people,” said Katrina Butler, Miller’s granddaughter. “Like, she actually went to the coalition, she fed the homeless. She did a lot. She really did.
Authorities are working to find out how Miller died and what led to the house fire. Family members said they were devastated.
“She doesn’t even have to like you, but if you have nothing or nowhere to go, she will always be there for you,” Butler said.
Authorities said a caller told police the woman was attacked by a man who lived here. Detectives said a man was found walking away from the house when they arrived at the scene. This man is currently in police custody and questioned by investigators.
