A 29-year-old Californian was indicted on Tuesday by a grand jury in connection with a shootout that killed rapper Nipsey Hussle in Los Angeles earlier this year.
Eric Ronald Holder Jr. pleaded not guilty under one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a firearm and one count of firearm possession by a criminal.
Holder risks life imprisonment if he is found guilty.

Hussle, a 33-year-old Grammy-nominated rapper and father of two, was shot in front of his clothing store on March 31. Two other men who accompanied him were slightly injured.

Investigators said Holder had fled, but he was arrested two days later. Authorities said the shooting was the result of a personal dispute between Holder and Holder.

Holder was ordered to hold $ 6.5 million bail. His next hearing was scheduled for June 18.
