Swalwell pinned a Wednesday tweet at the top of his Twitter page with a voice message from a man cursing him against his plea for a gun reform.
"I'm not scared of this guy, I'm not scared of the NRA, I'm not scared, no fear," Swalwell wrote.

Swalwell said for months he was considering running for the Democratic presidential election in 2020, announcing last month his intention to make a final decision by the end of March.
"I asked myself three questions," he said at the time. "Do I think I can make a difference? Do I think I can win? Because I do not think – even if you can make a difference, if you can not win, it's a sacred sacrifice to make your family, friends and constituents live at home. "
The shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas killed 17 and more than a dozen others injured. This sparked the launch of the March for Our Lives, formed by shootout survivors who called for tougher gun control legislation.
