On July 10, the 12 Thai boys and their coaches were rescued from the deep cave of Tham Luang in northern Thailand while they were locked up for 17 days.
Now, Discover has produced the documentary Miracle Rescue – Operation Thai Cave Rescue following the dramatic rescue action of Thai boys who engaged the entire world.
It was Saturday, June 23 as twelve boys and their football coach disappeared and their bikes were found near the opening of Tham Luang cave. Many became worried because the monsoon rain had started and it's dangerous to be in the caves.
Monday, June 25, divers found themselves in the cave to look for boys. Research continued until the boys were found on 2 July. Food and paintings were taken from the boys and the evacuation started on July 8th.
The rescue effort lasted three days. On the first day, four boys and four boys were rescued on Monday. The coach of the boys had announced that he would leave the cave.
The third and final day were saved by the rest of the boys and their coaches. They were taken to the hospital for examination.
In the research effort to find them, more than 1000 people participated, but experts from Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, China and Japan were also called .
