The Gamescom Games Games in Germany continues on August 21st. The fair will be the scene of a lot of news related to the game, but it's not just the soft side of the game industry that can appear. Nvidia invites people to celebrate the games in an event the day before the opening of the fair where visitors can play PC games on "the latest Geforce hardware."

Join us at our celebration of GeForce games!
This event will be filled with awesome new PC games running on the latest GeForce hardware, cool stage presentations, food and drinks, and some spectacular surprises.

In addition to presentations, food and beverages, participants will also be invited to "spectacular surprises". It's unclear exactly what these surprises mean and what "the latest Geforce hardware" means, but the latest speculation on the next-generation Nvidia graphics card says the flagship Geforce GTX 1180 product will be introduced in the evening

with reports compiled by our friends at SweClockers, indicating that Geforce GTX 1180 will be released at the end of August, with the slightly easier models Geforce GTX 1170 and GTX 1160 at the end of September and end of October. In addition to the new numbers in the product name, the new cards will be equipped with faster and more energy efficient GDDR6 technology.

If the name of the new family of graphics cards becomes GTX 1100, it remains to see the specs but if you stand with the thousands of leaves hanging from the wallet, it might be useful to have some ice cream in your stomach for a few weeks.
