M sources: Corazza Bildt rejected people publicly

Anna Maria Corazza Bildt was sent from the list of moderates to the European elections in May.

Several moderate sources now claim that Corazza Bildt has been dealing with staff for a long time and that there have been big problems of collaboration in Brussels.

"It's all about bursts of anger and careful handling of the staff. People cried, says a source M with good insight.

Corazza Bildt no longer feels to be in the picture and thinks it's an attempt to reduce her as a woman.

Anna Maria Corazza Bildt, who recently ran in the May European elections, was no longer on the list.

The party felt that this decision was a consequence of the poor election results of four years ago.

"It would be extremely wrong not to draw conclusions from the unreasonable election we made in May 2014," said Erik Langby, chair of the nominating committee.

This decision made Corazza Bildt furious and her husband, former Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, also took part in the debate.

Public retaliation

But now, centralized sources within the moderates tell us that there were other reasons why Corazza Bildt was removed from the list. For a long time, Corazza Bildt's conduct in Brussels has been strongly criticized.

"What has not been revealed is how it behaves in situ and against others," said one source.

"The real reason is actually the person, the way she treated her staff and acted against other parliamentarians.

According to the source, many employees have suffered from the tough leadership style of Anna Maria Corazza.

"It's basically bursts of anger and deceptive treatment by staff, rarely public exiles. People cried. Everyone knows that it is difficult to work for this candidate but not for others, explains the source.

Big problems of cooperation

Another central source confirms the photo and explains how trainees should be excluded for small things and asked to do things for which they were then criticized for unexpected results.

But the reports manager also felt that the problems went beyond: Corazza Bildt should not have been present at the delegations' meetings and had big problems of cooperation with other moderate parliamentarians.

Sources also told us how she had broken the rules on hiring staff.

– The insurance of a candidate is very clear: those who become parliamentarians of the European Union can accept the appointment of a co-chancellor and the commitment of all staff in consultation with the party. But then it was not the case. She has made changes in the way of appointing staff. You have never had it before.

A personal insight tells us that the problems have been known for a long time, but that they chose to refrain from treating them as long as Carl Bildt was in government – "He did not have enough priority".

One source, however, thinks the real sentence could have been treated differently.

"I think you should better handle it and suggest alternative tasks in the movement.

"Never spoke to me"

Anna Maria Corazza Bildt tells Aftonbladet that she does not recognize herself in the image conveyed.

"They never talked to me about that, you say. Neither in writing nor orally, they did not introduce me during all these months. I would like to know the facts. But are there facts?

Sources say that there should have been tantrums, careful manipulation of staff, public exiles, major problems of collaboration – even if you acted outside the recruitment rules.

– Nobody spoke to me about it, and now I'm going to answer that in the media? Is not it unfortunately typical to try to reduce a woman this way? I think that many women recognize each other, giving themselves personally to a strong woman.

You do not recognize this information?

– I do not recognize myself. I am honest and I am scared, I am an energetic person who burns and works hard in the office. But I have absolute respect for my employees. I have employees who stayed for the duration of their tenure and who also came back to work with me. That's the facts.

Anna Maria Corazza Bildt hopes that the nominating committee will put her on the list of European elections in May.

– There has been time, opportunities and opportunities to take this directly with me for so many years. My colleagues, my head of delegation, the nominating committee, the national organization talk to the media instead of talking to me.
