The IFK Gothenburg can sum up a hectic season in allsvenskan. New coach Poya Asbaghi had tough results for a good part of the season and several changes took place in mid-October. Former sports director Mats Gren was fired, former coach Jonas Olsson became acting sports director, while former players Hjalmar Jonsson and Hannes Stiller became the new assistant coach of Asbaghi Instead of Alf Westerberg.
Aftonbladet states that the last change was not made to management. According to reports in the newspaper, the former Blåvitt player and currently insurance adviser of the bank SEB George Mourad is currently in post as the new head of sports in the club.
Mourad was recently contacted about this mission and is expected to meet the club in the near future. He will also be interested in the work, but denies he has heard anything from the club.

George Mourad belonged to IFK Göteborg between 2004 and 2007 and notably won in 2007 the SM Gold. The striker also had a career abroad in Italy, Norway, China, the Netherlands, Portugal and China before ending up in Örgryte and Utsikten.
