The Benny Andersson (BAO) orchestra rides on the tourist train and goes to the country this summer. This tour will be the first of the orchestra for three years and will include two of Sweden's most popular artists: Helen Sjöholm and Kalle Moraeus.
TT: What are your best tour memories?
– For me it is the meeting with the public. I think we have the best audience in the world, says Kalle Moraeus.
– Every year, when the doors are opened in Sofiero before the BAO concert and people are running like crazy through the long park in the direction of the stage to get a good place, a nice race to watch, Soundcheck says Helen Sjöholm .
Instead, when it comes to their worst touring memories, both stomachs are ranked first.
– Or when three musicians met in Vännäs at a concert I did there in the early '90s, remembers Helen Sjöholm.
The summer tour begins on July 25 in Gothenburg. BAO is also joined by Tommy Körberg. As usual, each concert will begin with the song "Glasgow Boogie".
"It's a tradition and an opening to the gun," says Kalle Moraeus.
If the audience were to sing "once more" after the usual set, they will be heard, promises Helen Sjöholm.
– BAO always plays extras – she always emphasizes.
None of them has any special requirements for the organizers for a concert.
– Bottled water, says Kalle Moraeus.
– So, I'm bad on the list of claims, I can tighten my rules and start asking for M & M – just red, and other difficult solutions, haha. You want to have water during the concert and whiskey afterwards, says Helen Sjöholm.
TT: What is the best concert you've seen?
– Oh, there are so many things you've seen. What to do? According to Kalle Moraeus, you always learn something new when you record artists.
– I had to hear Tommy Körberg at the Skule 1990 festival with several fantastic musicians: Stefan Nilsson, Mats Bergström, Teddy Walter and André Ferrari, says Helen Sjöholm and continues:
– It was crazy musically; arrogant, tender, humorous, sinuous, brittle, tall and touching at the same time.
TT: How is your tour climate-smart?
– We go by train, then by bus, so you have to say that the climate is smart, says Kalle Moraeus.
