Before the JVM, Ragnar Carlsson was eighth in the annual championship and was not a favorite for the medals.
He started strong with a long throw in qualifying that gave him a second place and the feeling of the final was good. He started the final with the first round. In the third round, he showed that he could be the best in terms of and got the best start of the career.
Carlsson, 17, not only beat his favorite in the third round, but he also tallied the Swedish junior record of 1.28 meters when he was hit at 77.62. The record was before 76.34 by Markus Johansson. He was close to the record earlier in the summer with 76.07 and 76.18, who was his favorite person before the Friday competition.
