About 40 Polish fire trucks – will help in fires

A total of 139 Polish firefighters and 44 Polish fire trucks were sent to Trelleborg to help Sweden fight fires in Sweden's forests.

On Saturday afternoon, the trip from Trelleborg started at Jämtlandsk Bräcke where the fire will be fought.

It is MSB, the Civil Protection and Emergency Agency, which strengthens the fight against fire with the help of the nearby sea. The 44 long convoy fire trucks drew a lot of attention when they passed.

Several Countries Help

Previously, Expressen reported that the help for firefighting came from Italy, France, France, and other countries. Germany, Denmark, Norway and Lithuania. According to SVT, MSB has also accepted an offer of 46 firefighters and associated equipment from Germany, which is expected to arrive next weekend.

At present, 68 cases are classified as field fires at SOS. More than 12,000 hectares of forests are expected to burn in the country.
