AIK wins SM in gold after 2-1 win over Östersund

IFK Norrköping set the stage for a more contested match.

AIK had the press on it. However, despite the toughest start possible against Östersund on Thursday, there were three points. And now, AIK players can celebrate a gold medal SM as of Sunday.

Sebastien suspended Larsson and Daniel Sundgren were absent from the starting line at Jämtland. Enoch Kofi Adu was not even after four minutes.

The AIK midfielder played a tough match against Rewan Amin, of the local team, and met the top ÖFK player on the thigh with the dobbers. Red card, Judge Martin Strömbergsson, and a furious Adu declined the offer.

After expulsion Östersund certainly had possession of the ball Thursday night. But AIK was defended without major problems and, instead of his home team, it was 1-0 for AIK after half an hour of play – and 2-0 just four minutes later.

First of all, it was Kristoffer Olsson who alone arranged a corner. Hörnan took the national team fighter hand in hand, and in front of goal, Panajotis Dimitriadis was able to take the lead.

"The eviction was difficult, but it was just for us to work," Dimitriadis told C More.

"We knew we were right in our positions, it will show up.

And AIK was right, and the places came.

A change came in 2-0, when Tarik Elyounoussi printed a return of Henok Goitom in the net race.

"We are good at it, just be patient and keep playing," said Dimitriadis.

Östersund impressed even more a man. At half-time, the local team – as a table, had nothing to play – had not been marked for a single exit in the statistics. AIK, then? Five.

In the second half, they won the first song of the AIK supporters in the arena. Östersund tried to go out, but came almost nowhere.

AIK of Guldjagande seemed to be on the match. But after 78 minutes, the reduction happened: Per Karlsson, AIK veteran, nodded to score in goal.

Suddenly, Östersund came in contact and became nervous in the match. AIK goalkeeper Oscar Linnér was repeatedly forced to the rescue, but 2-1 was the final sign.

"I work hard every day to make crucial rescues, and to do that, it's nice," Linnér told C More adding about the match's image:

"We know how to handle such situations when we are depressed – we did it with imagination.

With two laps to the left now divides four points to run after IFK Norrköping at the top of the table. Said at home against Gif Sundsvall Sunday and AIK gold is clear. The title can also be obtained in the locker room before Sunday's match – if Norrköping loses his home in Örebro earlier in the day.

Match 3

The introduction was dramatic, with a red card on Enoch Kofi Adu immediately. But then there was almost no great entertainment. Östersund was a man rather on the field, but a strong AIK defense ensured that the ball rolling of the local team almost did not lead. Instead, an effective AIK could both take the lead and win – despite increased tension after the reduction target.

The guitar of the match

Oscar Linnér, AIK. We had a good evening in the match, but we had a lot to do in the final minutes – while he was in danger for several crucial saves. However, aimlessly for Per Karlsson.

Question: Did Adu play clearly?

The red card allows AIK midfielder, Adu, to qualify for his Sunday gold match against the Sundsvall GIF. In addition, there could be another interruption of the match, during the last round of the Swedish year.

AIK protocols

Victory against Gif Sundsvall Sunday and the gold is clear. But in fact, AIK can already become champion from the kickoff, though the tabloid IFK Norrköping – who plays earlier Sunday – loses against Örebro.
