It is now clear that Bettina Pehrsson becomes the new director of the Kalmar Art Museum. A role she will take in February next year.
On Friday the message was that Bettina Pehrsson succeeds Joanna Sandell as the new director of the Kalmar Museum of Art. Maria Lindmark, president of the Kalmar Art Association, informs us that she has applied for a new museum director in April, and then received 17 applications.
– We interviewed five people and after that, it was clear that Bettina was the right one, says Maria Lindmark.
Maria Lindmark tells us that they were looking for a calm and friendly person who had the experience of being a boss. In addition, Maria Lindmark explains that Bettina Pehrsson has worked on contemporary art throughout her career, which the museum appreciates.
– Contemporary art has been profiling the museum even earlier, says Lindmark.
Previously, Bettina Pehrsson was artistic director of Marabou Park Art Hall. Pehrsson takes on the role of new museum director in February next year, until Anneli Berglund is acting director.
