Carl Philip: "Do not go too fast"

In collaboration with his friend and business partner Oscar Kylberg, Carl Philip founded the company Bernadotte & Kylberg, founded in 2012. On the way from idea to finished product, they say:

"We always follow the same design process: drink wine, cook, eat and laugh," says Kylberg in a joke.

"We are all creative people, after the idea, we become designers." According to Oscar Kylberg, design is a way to visualize the idea, which means that it is five steps.

– In fact, the first step is always the search. Two ideas. Third, try the theory. Fourth, take the idea and reduce it. Five, design and form.

Prince Carl Philip agrees that it is very important that every part of the process has its own time.

– If you skip a game or think that some are not as important as others, you wonder. You skip the opportunity to come up with something unique. You can not go too fast.

The friends, however, studied for several years in Forsbergs, an academy of graphics, advertising and copywriting in Stockholm. The designer duo made many products that made the success. Recently, they launched a collection of beautiful light bulbs in collaboration with the famous brass company Skultuna.
