Danish police suspect the Iranian security services have planned an attack in Denmark. A Norwegian suspected of having a connection to the case was arrested in Gothenburg and is now arrested.
Denmark is now government action and calls his ambassador to Tehran in Iran. Danish Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen was announced at a press conference Tuesday night. The foreign minister said the suspected projects were "totally unacceptable".
"I can not describe how bad it is, we told the Iranian ambassador," Samuelsen told the press conference.
The Foreign Minister also said that he would raise the issue at the EU level.
"I want sanctions to be imposed on Iran," Samuelsen said at a press conference.
At the same time, he Iran's ambassador to Denmark has been summoned to the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Foreign Minister also said he is in close contact with other countries on the issue of illegal activities of the Iranian intelligence services in Europe.
The United States and Great Britain support Denmark's decision. On Twitter, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo congratulates the Danish government for arresting "an assassin working for the Iranian regime".
Pompeo writes that Europe has been the target of Iran-sponsored terrorist attacks for nearly 40 years.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also urged allies and partners of the United States to "face the threat posed by Iran to peace and security".
British Prime Minister Theresa May expressed her support for Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen (V) at the Nordic Ministerial Meeting in Norway, where she was invited.
"The UK is clearly undefeated to condemn any form of attempted attack of foreign players on European soil," Theresa May said, according to the TT news agency.
The alleged plans in Denmark may have links to the Ahvaz terrorist council of 22 September, where several attackers fired on a military parade. At least 25 people were killed in the act.
