Thorskog Castle lies in the middle of the rugged landscape between Gothenburg and Trollhättan. Here, part of the whole actor in the next big movie "Part of my heart" was collected to record some small scenes of the film, while the guest press looks at

"Part of my heart "is based on Swedish rock icon The lyrics of Tomas Ledin's song, like movies like" Feel no sorrow "(2013)," Mom mia! " (2008) and the bioactual suite, almost as successful "Mom Mia! Here we go again". Tomas Ledin himself is up during the day of recording, wearing a beige suit and with his hair pounding around his head in the breeze. He says he was surprised when he was asked a question about the film three years ago.

– That you could make movies of my songs … I would not have thought of it. This kind of movies is usually done, but with varying success, it's not obvious that it'll be fine just because the songs are. I said yes, of course, because it seemed exciting. Tomas Ledin “/>

Still, he chose a fiftieth of their own favorite songs, "in mood modes variables ", and sent to producer Patrik Ryborn and screenwriter Lars" Vaasa "Johansson. It took a long time before the script landed in his mailbox.

– I was very caught by the story. And so curious to know how it would be for the characters! It was fun to see how they had taken lines of text from certain songs to dialogue. So I said, okay, you can use my songs, he said.

The film is about Isabella (Malin Åkerman) – the name of the protagonist of "Sensual Isabella" by Tomas Ledin – who moved from his hometown for a successful life in Stockholm, but returns home to celebrate the birthday of his father. Once in the village, she realizes that her youth loves Simon (Christian Hillborg), who lives, marries her childhood friend Molly (Shima Niavarani). And that they did not invite her to the wedding.

– Isabella is a hard girl who takes care of someone who has dared to leave the village and do something with her life. I lived four years in a small town outside of Toronto, and I came back to Storstan at sixteen, in a way, I see parallels with my own life, "says Malin Åkerman

. his Swedish in front of the role, which is his very first in a Swedish feature film because the movie star is both high and resident in Canada. For the same reason, she has no deeper relationship with Tomas Ledin – something she had to recapture before recording.

– Once you have not grown up … But it was very fun to enter the world of Tomas Ledin. a bit inexcusable.

But you have not listened so much to "Sensual Isabella" to get into the role?

– No, not much, laughs Malin Åkerman. Or yes! We have a dance number for that. It's one of my favorite scenes.

Tomas Ledin says on the other hand that the character of Malin Åkerman is "very similar" to his name in "Sensual Isabella".

– I wrote this song in the eighties, with a glimpse of the eye. It's a bit of a busy song, let's say. It was only last night when I arrived at the recording site, that I realized that Isabelle was really there!

Malin Åkerman says that she sings "maybe eight" times in the film, three of which are the complete performances of the songs. She was nervous about the number of songs, but not as nervous as before playing in Swedish.

– This is probably the most nervous I have been for a long time recording! There are so many Swedish expressions that I am not used to it. When doing comedy, it 's based on improvisation, but it' s hard for me to improvise in Swedish. I'm in a box where I can not really stretch my wings. It may be a bad expression, too? I have no idea how it's going, but everyone seems happy, so it's okay.

Jonas Karlsson, who in "Part of my heart" plays economist Edvin, says that he was also nervous about his song number.

– Singing is not what comes naturally to me. I played a role at the theater, my theater debut was in Thåström's musical "Råttfångaren" in 1998, but it was a slightly different genre. But I'm starting to play music well. I've recorded a police drama all through the winter, which can be incredibly heavy, you get very low by all the dead kids and everything. Then it's incredibly nice to have a dance studio and practice choreography.

Who did you say "Part of my heart"?

– A musical film, a real musical film, is almost never made in Sweden. We want to be with just that reason. And I must say carefully that I think that what we have recorded up to here, big scenes with great choreography, is very pretty.

I ask what Jonas Karlsson thinks is like drawing movies from such a popular artist song.

– You have won a lot of songs that people can win. It's like the body of many of us, and it's fun to play with.

In addition to the body of Malin Åkerman, I say. Jonas Karlsson laughs

– Yes, it's very funny! She has completely fresh ears.

When the interviews are completed, the movie will resume recording. The first scene to record is a dance scene with a young cheerleading team, in sky blue costumes with the name of Generals printed on the chest. The young girls throw themselves high in the air in the cinematic version of Tomas Ledin's "Absolutely Crazy in You". Then it's time for a scene that takes place in the rectangular pond next to Thorskog Castle, where the actor Shima Niavarani sits and blushes, mimics the same song, in a boat with Christian Hillborg in front of him. In addition to a minor situation in which two of the extras, in a rowboat next door, end up with a grudge of knowing they're going to make a disturbing live bug or do not seem to go all as planned.

Tomas Ledin says, where he looks and looks at the recording site, he feels completely convinced that the film will be fine. He sees all this as a fun trip he can participate in, "particularly passive".

– I can add that I have already added. I have no experience in making movies, but everyone who works with these are professional people with a lot of experience, so the likelihood that it will be a good movie is quite high. For me, it's about finding a nice tuxedo for the red carpet at the premiere.

You do not even have a minimal role in the movie?

– No, and everyone should be happy. I like to write songs and do not like to sing, but some actors do not know in my body, he says.
