The Silver OS in Rio was followed by Peder Fredricson, winner of the Jerry Award. The wave of success continued.

– Requests began to flow, ranging from lectures to hippos nuptial. I have treated requests that I have made before the OS. I did not realize how long it would take. I wanted to meet people and help in the same way as before. I tried to squeeze the most, but the requests were just more. This in combination with my daily activity on the farm, that my running program became more intense and that I wanted to give more time to my family, as I had done a lot by downloading on the system. exploitation, I've done too much. I've never recovered – I was sick, Fredricson told Summer in P1 and continued:

– It started as a cold with a little fever. But the calendar was full of meetings that I did not think I could put in place. There were journalists and photographers almost every day and I began to feel that I was not in a hurry anymore. He became untenable, but I could not pull the handbrake.

After a period of racing Fredricson gradually felt worse, fatigue syndrome culminated in Skåne's farm. During a telephone conversation with his wife, Lisen Bratt Fredricson, he was hit by panic attacks

– Yes, he starts shaking and hyperventilating, it seems to me that I do not can breathe more

Fredricson has an ambulance at the hospital. It was said that there was a panic attack. For me, it was something new and nasty. I did not think the doctor's diagnosis was correct. I did not feel so stressed that I was in panic. I felt the most tired, exhausted and needed recovery. But the body said, a classic fatigue. I was also told at the hospital that I had pneumonia. Resting well now was my only option

Next Peder Fredricson took a two-month break from the race of the competition. In the summer, in P1, he tells us how he was not prepared to increase the pressure coming from the outside at an Olympic medal.

Fredricson had to rest for two months. But the 46-year-old man has retired and since then he has won a gold award in Gothenburg and is awarded a second time by the jury.

In his summer program, he gives advice to other athletes who have experienced similar situations

– It may be more difficult to set limits. My advice to anyone who wins an Olympic medal or a big goal is to force yourself to take a break and respond to all new demands, he says.
