Ebba Åkerlund was Barely eleven years old, she became one of the victims of the Drottninggatan Terrorism Council in Stockholm in the spring of 2017. For her classmates Märta, Julie, Hella and Ebba, they wanted to lose their best friend forever.

We met friends as part of the launch of the "Ebba Story" novel contest, where they will be part of the jury and will choose the winner among the college kids who ended a story started by Ebba. The novel contest is a collaboration between the foundation of "Ebbas Angels", founder of Ebbas's mother, Jeanette Åkerlund, and SvD Junior, the only Swedish news magazine aimed at children and young people.

Friends have so much they want to talk about Ebba. There are four people and everyone has their own way of remembering and mourning. But it is clear that Ebba was a strong, brilliant character and easy to appreciate.
"Ebba was a powerful person who knew what could and could go through what she believed in," said Martha.

"She was very nice and when she came to school, she was always happy, you were infected and you were always happy when you saw her," Julie said.
"We had planned to set up a cafe where we would sell found items, she liked sour products, so we made chocolate balls by slipping them into the sour candy, toxic waste," says Ebba.
One of the Ebba Åkerlunds great interests were in the process of writing. She has written many stories that she has read for her friends. They tell him that his lyrics were full of empathy and detail. Above all, it was her horror, but she also wrote fantasy and friendship stories.
"I remember how happy she was when she read what she wrote," says Ebba. Julie told us that she and Ebba had worked together to write a book of horror stories.
– She wrote and I wrote the pictures. But we never prepare, says Julie.
"We went to school with the same bus, I always asked him to tell ghost stories when we were on the bus, I thought it was so scary," said Märta.

Hella, Märta, Ebba and Julie, who knew Ebba well, will also choose the winning contribution from the last five contributions of the jury, alongside her mother, Jeanette Åkerlund.
"It's very fun to do something that honors Ebba, she loved to read and write," says Hella.
