Frölunda opened the game at a very fast pace.
They squeezed the home team as soon as the first change, then held the handle throughout the period.
Chay Genoway and Ryan Lasch had good chances, but they did not want to.
The main reason why Frölunda has not scored goal is Elvis Merzlikins, the keeper of the Latvian national team Lugano.
Ponthus made Pathrik Westerholm
He was close to the ice and even with the pick when he stopped the 14 shots of the period, while Johan Mattsson in the Frölunda penalty area had only two pucks.
Frölunda continued its momentum in the second half and after just over five minutes, the position was taken when both teams were sent off.
A home player dropped the puck on the offensive blue line. Ponthus Westerholm caught him and handed him over to his twin brother Pathrik who left him free and with a nice gesture, Elvis cheated at Lugano's goal.
Frölunda seemed to have good control over the events and the home team seemed extremely tired. But at about a minute and a half from the period, the bill appeared as a flash of clear sky.
I tried to cook
Gregory Hoffman tried to get to the kitchen. Mattsson saved, but the puck rebounded to Henrik Haapala who could push him into an empty box.
In the third period, Lugano formed a brand new team, played freely and created opportunities.
Expulsion gave Frölunda an opportunity to reverse the trend.
And when Patrik Carlsson attempted a quick shot, many thought the Gothenburgers were taking the lead. But the shot hit the bar and then the post, as shown on the video review.
Just over three minutes from the end, Kristoffer Gunnarsson carried the eviction for verification.
However, the best chance at the expulsion, Patrik Carlsson participated in a counterattack, but the Lugano goalkeeper took both first and second place.
But some other goals did not do it.
The match ended 1-1 and Frölunda was lucky to come home on November 20th.
