An icon is grateful.
Now, Hammarby Kennedy Bakircioglus is retiring from the number – but only for ten years.
"Stop forever in hockey," said Henrik Kindlund, CEO of Hammarby.
The greatest Hammarby player through all time thanked. Kennedy Bakircioglu was warmly congratulated at the Tele2 Arena against Häcken.
Before the match covered a complete giant arena, Bakircioglu then received songs, tales and videos of greetings from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, among others.
Hammarby's sports director Jesper Jansson also revealed that the club was retiring Bakircioglus No. 10, but only for ten years.
– Number ten for ten years. It's just right. He was also very happy with that. It's a tribute to him, but to retire forever, that's what you can do in hockey, fly from 0 to 100 km, "says Henrik Kindlund, CEO of Hammarby.
"More sick than I've seen"
Bakircioglu himself was taken after the tribute and proud of the withdrawal of his shirt.
– It's amazing, magical. Then, something has been done to the extent of the club and fans. You did a good job and we had great memories together since the first day. For me it is very big, I am very happy and proud.
What was the best with this day?
– all. There is nothing I can say that has been better than anything else. From start to finish was so great. This tifot was the worst thing I saw, it was powerful.

"Can see if it's crusting"
Bakircioglu will take a break in football after the season, but he is already considering new collaborations with Hammarby.
"Maybe I'm going to have any function within the association. It's really nice to feel that I will never charge for a match, think about what I'm eating, be away from the family, now I can relax, he says.
Should it be right to stop or will it be difficult too?
– It's like that. I have been playing football all my life, it will be difficult to stop completely. It will be tickled here and there. But somewhere you can start in one way or another, so it 's about Korpen or what we are allowed to see.
