Henrik Stenson retired from the Scottish Open because of an elbow injury
The world of golf now fears that one of the biggest stars is missing the Open Championship at Carnoustie next week.
On Twitter, the Swede writes that he hopes to come play.
There are only ten days left for one of the absolute highlights of the year;
The competition is played on a recognized Carnoustie
The greatest hopes of Sweden Henrik Stenson is far from optimal download.
The idea was that he would play Scottish Open at Gullane Golf Club this week to get used to being on Scottish ground, but Swedes are forced to withdraw from the competition of the week because of problems with the elbow.
Sad to have to withdraw from #ASIScottishOpen due to elbow problems. Good luck to everyone in Gullane and have a good week. Hope to be fit for Carnoustie

Hope to play Carnoustie
In the post, Stenson also writes that he hopes to be back in The Open Championship next
– I think the track suits me well. It's one of the toughest courses, if not the most difficult, British Open. This is a track that is usually relatively tight from the tee, long and has a strawberry, he already told the Golf Blog.
– It is about staying on the fairway and then wiping iron and ironman. I know it's one of my strengths if I play well. On paper, it seems like a good track for me.
Stenson, like the last few weeks celebrating his holidays in Barsebäck, has not played golf since the US Open at Shinnecock Hills just a month ago.
