Many will remember Julia Roberts, 50, a filmmaker of classic romantic comedies of today, "Pretty Woman," "The Marriage of My Best Friend" and "Notting Hill."
But now, it's over with romcoms for the love of stars.
In an interview as part of the new television series "Homecoming," the actress reveals her career choice and the reason for that choice. According to Roberts, she has far too much experience in life to play a convincing role in the genre.
"Unless I play a parent to anyone," she said in an interview with E Online.

Roberts played mom
Later she played a role in the genre where she participated in the movie "Mothers Day" 2016 in which she played a mother and her relationship with her child. And even if she loves movies, she can not make roles convincing and credible anymore, she says.
"I arrived at a time in my career when people thought that I had been thrown into romantic comedies, that I like a lot, that I like to watch and that I like to watch ", she says, but continues:
– But sometimes they do not work when you reach a certain point of life experience. It's not age, but what people know you know.

New role, a challenge for Julia Roberts
Julia Roberts is currently up to date with "Homecoming", where the star debuts in a television series. "Homecoming" is based on the podcast with the same title and has a Swedish premiere on Amazon Prime Video in November.
The experiment previously described Roberts as a challenge and something that took hold.
"I struggle so much against the roles I play, so after that, I need a lot of time before I feel like I have to become creative outside of my home," Julia Roberts said.
