When the Swedish television channel Metropol changed its name in 2015 to become P5 Sthlm, she wanted to become the most social radio channel in Europe. But due to fraudulent audience figures, the channel will be closed in December.

Sveriges Radio is now investing resources at P4 Stockholm, with more journalists, extensive evening and weekend coverage and new morning broadcasts in Södertälje. The new Södertälje broadcasts will be on the frequency used by P5 Sthlm until December. New local editors are also open in Flemingsberg, Järva and Norrort.
