At a press conference held this morning, the Dramaten Spring Program was presented. Previously, we know that Shakespeare's Hamlet went on the big stage with Adam Lundgren in the role of the Danish prince.
But the national theater scene also offers several newly written works.
The series of many worlds of Hugh and Nancy tells the story of Nancy who lived in the 1970s in the United States. She lives in parallel worlds and is performed by both Helen Sjöholm and Vanna Rosenberg. Manus and Direction is Lars Rudolfsson and the Prime Minister will be in Elverket in March.
Lars Norén writes and directs Andante. The play is the first part of a trilogy that deals with separation and aging, but the following two parts were put in place as early as 2017.

Doubled by Tennessee Williams
Two works of the legendary American playwright Tennessee Williams are mounted in the spring. Pulitzer-honored Line Lust was founded in Dramaten in 1949 and is back with actors such as Livia Millhagen and Shanti Rooney.
The Norwegian Runar Hodne directs Orfeus goes down, a story about how art and passion can make sense of life. The piece will be premiered in Elverket in January.
The younger ones can also take part in several classics. Lilla måsen, free interpretation of Anton Tjechovs Måsen, aims to obtain the approval of the adult. The substitution of Selma Lagerlöfs was rewritten for the drama by the author Sara Bergmark Elfgren.
Circus, music and feminism
It will not be just theater in the spring. Moneybrother gives a performance concert and Circus Circus merges with the municipal theater of Malmö to form the disordered coasts of Gunilla Thorgrens God. In the play, the Bible is read with feminist glasses and is presented for the first time on the big stage in March.
The dramatic editor and playwright Anneli Dufva leaves her repertoire to discuss the role of women in the theater, historically and today, in the series on the female stage.
Apartment becomes scene
The big stage closes from April to December 2019 for renovation. Instead, the public will be able to share the theater repertoire on the small stage, the power station, and the performing arts museum.
As part of the renovation of the drama, five actors go together to settle in an evacuation apartment of the Evakuering play, where five actors enter an evacuation apartment. The set is given in a real apartment in Hötorget, created in September 2019.
