– In 2017 we had the idea of a festival that celebrates all the stars of Swedish pop for a long time dominated both the Swedish and international scenes, but also the best lists. Strange enough, at that time there was still no festival that only had female artists. The term Queens of Pop quickly became our guide and was a clear name to say that it is about putting the focus on the woman.

You put a lot of effort into coaching female artists in "Queen Screw" – Can you develop it?
– We chose an incredible arena with an extended garden that gives a very romantic and enjoyable setting for the entire festival and our queens. The place has been very important to us! We worked with Minji Moon from South Korea and Gustav Von Platen, Amsterdam in art works and we loved our expression, the form of the festival and our artists.
You are also very proud that Edd Molly has a brand so great that Edd Molly wanted to interpret our festival and create a complete clothing collection for us and the visitors of our festival. We have clicked directly and are very similar in our values as well as our driving force to spread a lot of love. It was very inspiring to work with all their team and see how all the clothes and details took shape. In addition to the collection that takes place in the stores, we will build a department store in Uppsala as part of the festival.

What are your hopes for the Uppsala festival?
– At the moment, I do not care about whether there is sunshine or summer. It does not matter, it will be a great experience for our audience and our artists. The commitment of partners, visitors and Uppsala has been huge. White architects will also be in place and will make an installation in collaboration with Saadia Hussein, where you will feel, practice and express your status as queen. We have two scenes that are constantly warned. Looks like that boils – and soon it explodes!
