"Red Dead Redemption 2" delivers quality at retail

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is created by perfectionists – and is visible in every pixel. It's impossible not to be totally absorbed by the Wild West saga.

A good game gives me the feeling of living another life. "Red Dead Redemption 2" to marinate in its environments, conflicts and relationships until I become one with adventure. He comes with me everywhere. Passing the meat counter inside Coop, I think of the rabbit that I stole the other day. At the pub, I go to the bartender and I order almost "moonshine". And every time I look in the mirror, I'm surprised not to have a cowboy beard to cut.

It's a bit odd that I can identify with the main character Arthur Morgan and his life. On paper, the American desert and its criminal explosions do not attract me. but rockstar Go really into the details and show all aspects of the Wild West era – not in a way that makes me sober, but very curious.

The story takes off at Arthur and the Van der Linde gang. They have failed a robbery in the city of Blackwater and are forced to flee their bloodthirsty enemies. But it will be anything but a quiet road trip. They have the authorities and price hunters hack into the heel and emerge by flying, fighting and manipulating. There is clearly a better date for such an illegal recipe in America in 1899.

With a world open and resolute in 4K, the series "Red Dead" shines like never before. The size may seem overwhelming, but the new places are carefully presented piecemeal. If there is something I'm going to complain about – as impatient as I am – then the rhythm is sometimes too tense. Many missions also have very similar patterns that are simply hidden in other aesthetic shrinkers. Rockstar cut five hours of experience before it was released, but they probably could have done twice as much.

Assignments are varied with stimulating action and quieter moments. The genius for taking up each challenge is that they are not particularly difficult – as long as I find the right approach. Which can be smart enough. Whether I fish, rebel or burn people's property, I always have a finger in the game and I choose the direction of the performance. This creates a sense of absolutely perfect variation.

Something incredibly refreshing in the machismo world that Rockstar often chooses to describe is that they deliberately shaded their female characters. Apparently, good girls can turn out to be tough suffragers, and women who would otherwise have had chopped onions in the kitchen can go out and shoot bandits. At the same time that the weakest species can also exist.

What matters most to me is the complete and flawless sensation of "Red Dead Redemption 2". Everything flows. It becomes clear that this game is not made by anyone. Otherwise, I would never have felt so strong for a crazy desperado.
