Skövde near break improbable tendency

It was at the table against tabby when IFK Kristianstad received IFK Skövde in the men's handball league on Friday night.

A match that had a very keen favorite to victory in the past: IFK Kristianstad. The Swedish champions in power took the start with a small surprise at home in the Kristianstad Arena: 69 wins in a row.

A trend that IFK Skövde now wanted to do everything to break the foundations.

"That was our goal before the game, that's why we went down here, we really thought we could rub them in. Then you have to know that it's not just about winning points, they are one of the best teams in Sweden, said Skövde Rasmus Wremer.

"We knew the opportunity to succeed was – we are a team that defends itself and really sees it as a great opportunity.

Lie under seven balls

But it was not a break this weekend. Kristianstad managed to stay out of trouble and nap and could finally win the match with 29-28.

– It was really boring. It would have been nice if we could have been the team that broke it there.

Although the situation worsened dramatically in the last minutes, Skövde looked pretty dark for a moment. Twelve minutes after the start of the second half, Kristianstad scored 22-15 and entered a stable pilgrimage team.

"It could have stayed still and counted twelve balls for a while, but we are displaying a very strong moral today, we are really making a solid effort," said Wremer.

"Know that they are sharpened"

Skövde Matias Helt Jepsen scored 28-27 with a penalty. From time to time, Kristianstad was badly off. But, as I said, it was not quite like that this time around.

The loss, despite – Rasmus Wremer thinks that Skövde should keep his head up.

"What we are doing with us is that we have further improved the morale of the team, we have found something in this team that we stand for, stand up and look forward to each other.
