Rickard Söderberg took over KIK from Falköping for the past season.

The team had the ambition to win the series – but finished second in Division 2, Northern Götaland.

And as the paper wrote Thursday morning, coach Strömberg chose to leave the association for a new mission. At a press conference Thursday night, Rickard Strömberg was introduced as the new Mariebo IK coach in Division 1.

"I spoke to Mariebo and Falköping KIK and it's a very difficult choice for me, the sporting part is over," he says.

Was the FKIK season what you thought?

"What was a little frustrating, is that level 2 of the game is not so high when you play against other teams in the series." They did not really the same ambitions as KIK from Falköping.

"I had high hopes that we were going to win this series.At the same time, I knew we had lost.I think there were 15 players, some of whom had moved on to higher clubs.We We knew it would be difficult, we spent a lot of time fighting for first place, but we gave up because finally there were 14 points left at the Friscopojkarna so there was no snack. came in second and they won quite fairly, although we won one and we played one against them.

Rickard Söderberg also said that he had very much liked the FKIK.

– Falköping KIK is a good association. Great girls, good football players and a very young team. I really enjoyed the association and it's a step that I do not regret.

But now, new challenges are waiting. Mariebo I finished four in center 1 of Götaland and has already stumbled to reach Elitettan.

"I've looked at Mariebo many times and it's a difference, it's a step that you see very clearly."
