Spotify is testing a beta app for Apple Watch

Since Apple Watch has been around since 2015 and Spotify was launched in 2008, it's easy to believe that there's still a Spotify app for Apple Watch. But this is not the case. You can control the playback of Spotify via its Apple Watch as long as it is connected to a phone, but no dedicated and standalone application has ever developed the Swedish streaming giant. However, it now appears that some users of the Spotify Testflight program have access to a beta version of a standalone application for the clock.

No offline support

The app does not currently offer any nice features, but it includes all playback controls. You can of course hope that Spotify intends to provide the application with some kind of offline functionality, but some information about the long-term functionality provided for this application is not currently available. Spotify has also not provided a statement on the application, but is pleased to note that it is constantly testing new products to improve the user experience of the service. If and when the application can be deployed, users are not known either.
