A few weeks before the European Championships in Berlin, several Swedes showed a good form at the Karlstad Grand Prix.
A year ago, at the same competition in Karlstad, AIK Andreas Kramer of Sävedalen hit a Swedish record of 800 meters. Now he did the same thing – Kramer won the race at 1.45.0 and set his own Swedish record. He met with fierce resistance among others the Kenyan Cornelius Tuwei and the Burundian Antoine Gakeme who seized the grip of the race. But in the last yard, Kramer came in and out.
– I felt strong and wanted to go all the time on the last court and I had to run a few more meters in the curve, so it was not the best race. Beat the Swedish record here and win, it can not be better, Kramer told SVT.

Yet another Swedish record has been set in Karlstad. Angelica Bengtsson raised the Swedish record that she had set in early July by one centimeter when she made her second try at 4.73.
– I was so sick. That's why I entered 4.30. I did not think it would be so much higher. But this was the case, she told SVT
After the record, Bengtsson raised the rib at 4.83 but there he stopped. Örgryte Malin Dahlström was second at 4.10 – at the same height as Hanna Jansson, Ullevi.
Ståhl and Duplantis also showed form
Daniel Ståhl's record giant reached the best pitch of the year when he reached 69.11 meters in the fourth lap – new track record and third to the world this year
Superman Armand Duplantis a difficult introduction when he tore the first two tries at the height of 5.55. After that, it was easier and he won the competition at 5.80 and tried in Sweden 5.94 but with three demolitions.
Hassan won – but did not reach the dream limit
Irene Ekelund at 11.75, which is not enough to qualify for the European Championships. In second place, Ullevis Caludia Payton broke her personal best – 11.77. Another Ullevi rider who had a good day at Karlstad was Dennis Forsman who won the men's 400 meters at the best 47.88 of the season.
The grandfather of Ullevis Suldan Hassan ran 3000 meters and arrived in Karlstad with less than 8 minutes. So fast that it did not work, Hassan won the race, according to the season 8.08.81.
