The famous TV reporter Morten Ruud died in an accident with gyrocopes

Morten Ruub, 57, worked as a district editor for Finnmark at NRK, which is the Norwegian equivalent of SVT. He has already been correspondent of the NRK Moscow.

Just before 8:00 pm Saturday night, there was an alarm that a person had died during a mini-helicopter crash on the Finnish side of Treriksroset.

The other passenger on board became more easily injured in the accident, and where one who could alert the rescue service, writes NRK.

Morten Ruud burned for northern Norway

The cause of the accident is currently unknown. Weather conditions in the area should have been good at the time of the accident.

Tone Kunst, regional NRK editor in northern Norway, tells NRK that Morten Ruud is known as a good journalist who burned for northern Norway, the Northern Cap and cooperation with Russia.

– He wanted to inform everyone about what happened in the north and wanted to create a network of partners, across political boundaries and opinions, she told the NRK.
