"The film could never have been made in Sweden"

The Danish dramatic film about the rape of Isabelle Eklöf, "Holiday", caused a sensation at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. It is now a Swedish first for the film, directed by a Swedish regentbutant who felt opposed and censored at home. "Several people have said that the film could never have been shot today in Sweden," said Isabella Eklöf.

In the fall of 2005, Isabella Eklöf received what she calls "a moment of truth". She was in Copenhagen and the newspaper leaflets were frozen in the poetry and the book of the filmmaker Jørgen Leth "The Perfect Person". He mentions in particular his life as Honorary Consul of Denmark in Haiti and the way he usually sleeps with the daughter of his 17 year old cook, as it is his "right" as an employer.
