Has our solar system been visited by a foreign civilization? Yes, maybe we have average researchers. This is the strange object of Oumuamua that slipped over the ground last year and is now analyzed with care.
And no, there are no crazy UFOs sitting in the basements of their parents and watching lean YouTube clips that have drawn this conclusion. These are the researchers Shmuel Bialy and Abraham Loeb at the astrophysical institution Harvard who wrote the report, published in the journal Astrophysical Journal Letters.
"Oumuamua may well have been a fully operational probe sent to Earth with the flirtation of an extraterrestrial civilization," the researchers report, according to CNN.
The reason scientists think this is possible is the shape of the object and Oumuamua has increased the speed of travel through the solar system. The researchers also do not rule out that the object is any vehicle – and that it is powered by solar energy.
Harvard researchers also believe that the object is actually made up of extraterrestrials, but that it is no longer active.
