In the evening, everything sings in the dunes near the old water castle. Several hundred people sing German wizards and famous old bats, accompanied by accordion and guitar. At the end of a cape, there is a bird station;

Tekultur

Since the 17th century, Ostfriesland has a strong culture and the local population drinks several cups day. Traditionally, you make a blend of ten black teas, chestnut sugar and unpasteurized cream. The cream is poured delicately with a special creamy sauce to make a cloud, and when the sugar cubes start to crack, the tea is ready.

At Borkum, there is a 40-year-old tea house called Oma's Teestübchen. On the island of Spiekeroog, afternoon tea is served in a historic 17th century house, the Altes Inselhaus. Near the port of Langeoog is a café serving traditional tea and homemade cakes with sea towers.

Guided walks on the sea Seabed

“/>

19659002] On Spiekeroog there are National Park Exhibits that belong to one of our World Heritage Sites and on the Islands it is popular to take a guided hike on the seabed. During the trip, we accompany a class of twelve-year-old German girls on a school trip.

Karen Hohn, the guide, shows us all the little crabs, mussels, shells and worms that hide on the seabed. Here too, sea salad with orange is a delicacy in Japan. We walk on a mirrored seabed with small farms, and it's easy to get stuck with the boots in the mud. From many of the islands, you can also walk to the mainland with a guide.
