Turkambassadör is called home in "shandal train" – Pages

Ambassador Sedef Yavuzalp convened a reception in Kampala, the Ugandan capital, to celebrate the Republic Day in honor of the founding of the Turkish Republic in 1923. On images of the exhibition, the Ambassador poses a dress with a man dressed in what seems to be a toga, as well as an olive crown on his head.

On Saturday, the images cover the entire front page of the Turkish nationalist newspaper Sözcü. "A big scandal on the day of the republics", headlines the newspaper, and the newspaper discovers that Yavuzalp dressed for Helena de Troja, whose beauty provoked the Trojan War according to the Iliad massacre by the Greek Homeros. The man in the blouse is designated by God Zeus.

Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavusoglu announced that the investigation was underway and that Yavuzalp would be called home again.

For Turkish nationalists, it is important to emphasize that modern public education is Turkish and nothing else. Historically, the Anatolian peninsula was part of the Greek and Roman empires.

Greece and Turkey also have a history of conflict that extends until the 20th century. The Turkish revolutionaries, with stepfather Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in the lead, formed the Republic of Turkey soon after defeating the Greeks in the Greek-Turkish War (1919-1922).
