WTA back to Båstad this summer
WTA tennis returns to Båstad 2019.

After the competition last year, the message was that there would be more Ericsson Open in Båstad. The economy of the women's tournament just does not go together.
But this summer, the event director also informed Christer Hult in front of HD WTA tennis in Båstad:
– At best, we have a contest here next year.
The tournament will take place the week before the Swedish Open ATP men's tournament, that is to say during the second week of Wimbledon. This means that the best players are selected in the major tournaments, just as Swedish players Rebecca Peterson and Johanna Larsson are not available if they pass the third round.
The WTA tournament in Båstad will have $ 125,000 in prizes and will be in the lowest category of the tour.
