Finally a group of Lucerne guitars: Tin Shelter's team warms the glow of the rock past. And sharpen their own sound this way.

In one way or another, you have managed to combine the 60s / 70s spirit of rock with the melodic-wild rock-style of the 80s / 90. There is no lack of garage rock energy or blues / soul roots. All the shooters, the guitarist Flo Respondek would intervene. "Of course, we like things like that, but we just do our thing, if you want to look like this or that band, it's not going to be good." Whatever it is, it's best to play when the head is empty and that no thought intervenes.
Tin Shelter Crew is a group that can be recommended in all conscience to all lovers of rock music. The Lucerne have just released their first five songs as Digital EP on Bandcamp. Each track has its own facets. What they all have in common, it's the powerful aura, the great game of guitarists Christian Winiker and Flo Respondek, the vocals distributed to three people, and the rhythm section shot with Gregory Schärer (bass) and Simon Gautsch (drums). After playing at B-Sides, they are now in the Sedel on stage, where they celebrate their album with two groups of friends.
Spend all the free time in the rehearsal room
The group made its first appearance two years ago at the farewell party of Rolling Stones by Henk Bergmans at Jazzkantine. Christian Winiker was playing with Frenetic Silence (winner of the spring), a band from the Sursee region. Flo Respondek was an active valley in Hochdorf with The Bucket and The Paces. While Respondek plunged into the sinking, Winiker was still present in the orchestras of Martina Linn and Henrik Belden
. At an evening jam at Bar 59, both guitarists got to know each other and enjoyed each other. The foundation of a group was in the air. With Schärer and Gautsch, they found the right musicians. Respondek is pleased with the way the group has come together. "I've been waiting for years to find such people, musicians who do not mind spending all their free time in a rehearsal room, and not in ten other groups."
The plays are in progress development by Tin Shelter Crew. "At first we were more of a jam group who did not hate Solis. In the meantime, we're going more and more to songs, "says Winiker. Having a nice song as a frame is musically more interesting than getting lost in any nudity. Everyone in the group loved rock music, Respondek said. "But we do not think of any model, we simply try, that's how it comes out, of course, what really suits us."
"Talent is useless if you don? not art "
We are talking about talent and craft. When we say that The Bucket was extremely talented at the time, Respondek is allergic. "You forgot that we spent weeks and months in our rehearsal room, talent is useless if you do not have the job." Winiker remembers one of his favorite bands "Band of Heathens has hands on all levels. Whether song, technology, group energy, everything is perfect.
In the sound of Tin Shelter Crew, the essences of great rock music sparkle: incisive riffs and melodic subtleties and escapades from disturbing guitars. "If a song threatens to become too clumsy, we'll give it a ride, so that it's still exciting and surprising.We do not want material 08.15, that would bother us." Winiker thinks that, especially in the areas of rhythm, structure and sound, rock music is not exhausted yet.
Boys, all aged 28 to 36, career illusions.Winiker: "We can not switch to radio or to the hit parade with the sound we are doing now, it's clear. But we want to develop our roots and our sound here and today. There are many more possibilities. Asked about the group's projects, Respondek said laconically, "What should I say, everything is open, I see no limits."
