For the next remake of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Nintendo has designed a number of new levels inspired by Super Mario Odyssey. As it turns out, it should be possible to play them from the start of the game – but you need amiibo for that.

If you own Super Mario Odyssey-amiibo you can scan them and unlock new additional levels instantly. It works with the wedding figures of Mario, Peach and Bowser. Of course, if you do not have this amiibo in your collection, you can still play at these levels – just in the normal gameplay of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
The friendibo Toad also gives you a small reward in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker an invulnerable mushroom. All other amiibo will give you a 1-up mushroom while scanning.
The new edition of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will be released on July 13 for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS.
