There are not many rock singers who, even at the age of 70, are as enthusiastic as Robert Plant. The leader of the former British group Led Zeppelin made with his musicians last night for a grand finale of the market concerts.

Lörrach. The expectations of the visitors of Robert Plant's concert – the rock icon par excellence – had to be several times higher than the heated values of the mercury column. Charisma, stage presence and long mane: just like in the 60s and 70s, when the Brit set standards in rock with titles like "Stairway to Heaven", "Kashmir" or "The Song Rests The Same", sold Millions of albums, It was not only Jimmy Page, John Bonham and John Paul Jones, but also world fame.
However, alongside his eleventh solo album "Carry Fire", only a handful of Zeppelin classics were heard last night. His group "The Sensational Space Shifters" is assured. They took the audience on a complete journey through all the musical genres that influenced Plant's life before, during and after Led Zeppelin: Here, it sounded African, Celtic or even Arabic.
Of course, blues and country influences are not lacking in dense and sophisticated arrangements. In short: The style alchemist stays true to himself, he combines different musical styles and makes a creative and harmonious whole, to which he gives his mesmerizing voice. Although it does not look like its climax – only very few singers in this genre can say that after many years on the stage – the mood has changed nothing.
The British duet Josienne Clarke & Ben started the Walker concert, the songwriter pearls with melancholy melodies and full of hope and lyrics played. The Guardian magazine has dubbed them folk favorites, given Ben Walker's good guitar playing and Josienne Clark's mesmerizing voice. In March of this year, his new album "Seedlings All", probably the most autobiographical work of the duo, was released.
About 4,800 listeners watched the concert, according to Burghof and Stimmen boss Markus Muffler. Unlike previous years, there were only two approaches where explosive detection dogs were positioned – "at the express request of Robert Plant", as Muffler said on request of our newspaper.
He was happy that the singer finally appeared in the vocals, after all, the artist was long on his list.
