Everything is done, in the end, without interruption. And now? Now, Ethan Hunt is right there, pumped, broken. And the film – the sixth mission: Impossible episode – actually takes a few seconds to breathe.
At 56, this man is without a doubt the most apt agent in the history of cinema. Imagine: Tom Cruise has been in service for 22 years now. When he started in 1996, Pierce Brosnan had just started his job as James Bond, and Matt Damon did not even know who Jason Bourne was. Meanwhile, Brosnan has a long history and Damon resigned first and then resigned in a film without conviction of resignation. Only Tom Cruise jumps and dives, as if time could not hurt him. "How is he?" Asks an old friend once his friend Luther. And he answers, "Oh, he's still the same Ethan." This is again an understatement. "Mission: Impossible – Fallout" is the fastest and most entertaining episode of the entire series

"Rogue Nation" was so good that the same director was allowed to replay. And now actually overtaken again. Because he's getting really personal for Tom Cruise.
At the turn of the millennium, the series also suffered because the main actor made more headlines with Scientology slogans than movies. But with McQuarrie, Tom Cruise, who still plays as a producer, seems to be completely back on his own. He acts like Ethan Hunt untouchable and timeless, and not just because he does not seem to age. No, because he really cares about him and his loved ones – and so the whole world.

The plot is of course far-fetched. But fun: Three bullets filled with plutonium, which can be turned into atomic bombs at any time, were stolen. Anarchists want to destroy large parts of the world, because "the greater the suffering, the greater the peace after". Various intelligence agencies are pursuing bullets, various terrorist and criminal organizations as well. They work together, against each other, who knows exactly. The overview is hard to follow, but it does not matter because Ethan Hunt – who is also suspected of terrorism – keeps the peace.
The good news: Despite all the madness, the story tells something about the world today. Selfishness is above the common good. The stunts are really amazing, the people and the camera are flying like there's no physical laws. And many unfinished screenplays, including those from previous films, will be reunited in a grand finale in distant Kashmir
It's quite possible that the series is over
Now, Tom Cruise ? Of course, age, or eternity, synonymous with the movie. But does it continue? Maybe with a mask that is part of the standard equipment in "Mission: Impossible"? Hard to say.
