The annual theme "Conversational Apps" is looking for dialog-based applications that go beyond the functionality of a chatbot. There are applications that can work with language assistants like Alexa, Cortana, Siri and Co., for example, and thus enable an innovative and intuitive user experience. The focus is on the question of what potential and added value can be open compared to conventional interfaces. It will show what is already happening in Switzerland in this field of innovation still quite new.
The best of Switzerland are also sought after in the nine "classic" categories. All applications filed in or for Switzerland, which have been newly created or substantially revised in the last twelve months – or which could become in the next few weeks, as stated in a communication.
The term "App" generally, throughout the competition, in no way assimilated to "smartphones". Applications for interfaces of any kind can start the race – from the usual mobile application, via desktop applications, to the assistance systems in cars.
The jury focuses on the skills of the agency. In the nine classic categories, the skills and abilities that contribute to the success of a media product and therefore a unique user experience are gaining importance.
The category designations were changed again this year. More information can be found here. Applications can now be submitted online by September 10th. (pd / cbe)
