Ten years have passed since "Mamma Mia!" Has become a success with cinema. It is understandable that fans are looking forward to Thursday, July 19th. Then comes the second part of the musical Abba with the subtitle "Here We Go Again" in cinemas. A little downer: Some hits were not allowed to be used in the movie. The reason is the self-criticism of band leaders Benny Andersson (71) and Björn Ulvaeus (73): "We have not found enough songs!"

LOOK: What titles?
Björn Ulvaeus: [19659004] Oh, we better not betray that. They are early in our career. At that time, we did not have enough time in the studio to make them as good as they should have been

What is the worst song of Abba?
Benny Andersson: There are some bad ones, some very good too. I would say the worst is "Watch Out".
Björn Ulvaeus: That's right. That's why it's not in the film either

What title is your best?
Benny Andersson:
"The day before you come."
Björn Ulvaeus: We went through different stages, took an example of the Beatles and wanted to innovate with each album.

Abba also influenced many musicians
Benny Andersson:
It is flattering to even find U2 that we are good.
Björn Ulvaeus: Led Zeppelin was the first to say it. And they were cool, whereas Abba was clearly cool.
Benny Andersson: Today, we are too old to be cool.

Did you enjoy playing a mini role in the movie?
Benny Andersson:
Yes. But I did not like the hat I have to wear

Did the Abba women also ask if they wanted to appear in the movie?
Benny Andersson:
In Doubt

Why Live [19659029] Anni-Frid and Agnetha So Retired Today
Benny Andersson:
I would prefer that you sit here today (smiles).
Björn Ulvaeus: Exactly. After all, they were the faces of Abba

Thirty-five years after the dissolution, you recently returned together to the studio
Björn Ulvaeus:
Yes. Benny and I are working on this project "avatar". Some of our virtual characters are singing new songs.
Benny Andersson: That's why we called the girls, and they said, "Yeah, no problem." So, it happened that we suddenly spent a few days together in the studio again.

How did this happen?
Benny Andersson:
As if only six months had passed. It was amazing how happy we all were.

Did you have contacts over the decades ?
Benny Andersson:
Yes, of course. We are friends today. Meet us occasionally. Here and there.

What is this project "Avatar"?
Björn Ulvaeus:
We do not know yet. Only so much: we will leave all four on tour. Only that we are not ourselves, but virtual figures.

Agnetha and Anni-Frid Changed Vocally ?
Benny Andersson:
Of course. If you could sing a high F thirty-five years ago, you'll only have one or more today. But we adapt to the songs

What is the secret that you still work together after so many years?
Benny Andersson:
We like to argue, but never when we work.

And what about your friendship?
Benny Andersson:
We do not have as many private contacts as before

Do you miss yourself?
Benny Andersson:
Not at all because we always meet for work almost every week.
Björn Ulvaeus: It's nice to have someone you can trust to one hundred percent.

What do your children think of Abba?
Björn Ulvaeus:
I think they are very proud of us. But we tend not to talk about Abba at home
Benny Andersson: I remember that Björn once visited me with his son in my apartment in Stockholm. In the elevator, the child asked, "Is this where Abba lives?"

Benny and Björn

Long Friendship

Benny Andersson grew up in Stockholm. On his sixth birthday, he received an accordion, with which he made his first appearances with his father and grandfather. In the middle of the 60's, he meets Björn Ulvaeus, who has already played in a band. The two met. In the late 1960s, they complemented the singers Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, with whom Benny and Björn were married temporarily. The quartet has become known worldwide as Abba. In 1982, Abba dissolves despite a gigantic success. Benny has three, Björn has four children.
