You play as one of eight travelers, all of whom experience their own plot in the game. Nevertheless, the paths of the eight protagonists intersect and you can use each other's skills to master the game. According to Square Enix, all scenarios can be completed in a playthrough without having to start over. The highlights of the game are the unique 16-bit graphics style, the special skills of the protagonists and the surprisingly innovative turn-based combat system.
