The upcoming movie "Star Wars" is also expected to feature scenes with actress Carrie Fisher, who died in 2016. As a result Lucasfilm announced Friday, director JJ Abrams wants to use unpublished material from Fisher in his role as Leia Organa.

"We loved Carrie Fisher like crazy," said Abrams. It must necessarily appear in the final of the saga Skywalker. In agreement with Fisher's daughter, Billie Heavy, they would have chosen to use unpublished scenes from the filming of "Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens" (2015), says Abrams.

The "Star Wars" movies of the 70s and 80s, when Princess Leia became famous and appeared in the new movies as a General, had died on December 27, 2016 at the age of 60.

Filming for "Star Wars: Episode IX" with Daisy Ridley's regular cast, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver scheduled to begin August 1st in London. The ninth film "Star Wars" will be released at the cinema in December 2019.
