B aden-Baden (dpa / lsw) – Since Friday, a Marlene Dietrich diamond ring can be purchased online for a good cause. The Goldreif comes from the succession of the film's diva and was auctioned in 1997 for the first time – at film producer Bernd Eichinger, said the United Charity Foundation (Baden-Baden). The value of the ring was donated by the foundation to around 5,000 euros – which fire Eichinger had paid at the time is not known. He had given the ring to his partner of the time, Katja Flint, who had sold it again. The auction of the ring lasts a month.

United Charity claims to be the largest charity auction portal in Europe. Founded in 2009, Sprinter Usain Bolt has put on sale running shoes or a guitar signed by Michael Jackson – the latter for 25,000 euros. The auction proceeds would be donated to projects and institutions for children in need.
