And that's exactly the reason why Dirty Projectors' new album starts where the last one stopped – with sorrow. "The sky has darkened / the earth turned towards the light," David Longstreth sings on the opening "Right Now". A deliberately chosen strategy, as he tells us in an interview
Thanks for the flowers, Dave Longstreth
Jason Frank Rothenberg
"It's a bit like Game of Thrones," says Longstreth. "The first song does not just set the tone for the rest of the album, it must also function as a reminder, it's the reminder," continues the Dirty Projectors leader
. Already at the end of the first song, the mood is reversed. Much hope and optimism spreads Longstreth on his latest album "Lamp Lit Prose". Can we call it a "happy" album? That's what you hear in the exclusive interview "Sounds!"
Reminder: Already in the program on Monday we listened to "Lamp Lit Prose".
