Easyjet left the conflict with the union

The summer of 2018 was the worst for the Easyjet team, writes the union, which is an Easyjet contractor for the Collective Labor Agreement (GAV), in a statement released Friday. The reason is the increasingly tight flight schedule, increasing pressure on staff and insufficient wages for a life in Switzerland.

Easyjet refers to regular discussions with the technical team and the unions

Easyjet said in its own statement: "We regularly discuss with our teams and union representatives to find an appropriate solution." The company describes itself as a "responsible employer with about 900 employees, all under Swiss employment contract".

In addition, the working conditions and working hours at Easyjet Switzerland are defined by mutual agreement by the local unions and comparable to those of other airlines. Follow all rules and make no compromises on safety. "The safety and well-being of our crews and passengers is our top priority."

According to the union, more than 600 Easyjet flight attendants work in Geneva and Basel. In Geneva, 14 aircraft of the airline are stationed, in Basle eleven.
