The EHC is the last remaining German club. The Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers of Nuremberg and Eisbären Berlin failed in the group stage during qualifying. Four teams from Switzerland, three Swedish, two Finnish and Czech, as well as a German, Austrian, French, Italian and Norwegian club have qualified for the last sixteen finals.
