The second MRI produced the same result as the previous two days. The five-time European champion suffered Saturday in a three-country fight at Saint-Etienne's left knee, a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament and a partial tear of the meniscus. Possible tibia injury could not yet be determined conclusively.
For the European Championships in Glasgow from August 2 to 12, Anina Wildi, 15, will join the Swiss team in place of Giulia Steingruber. Schafisheim will be the first participation in an international event of elite. Anina Wildi completes the team with Lynn Genhart, Ilaria Käslin, Leonie Meier and Stefanie Siegenthaler.
