French-speaking Switzerland procured the services of the Canadian Torrey Mitchell. And: Tim Bozon returns to Geneva.

HC Lausanne recruited Canadian forward Torrey Mitchell for the upcoming season. The 33-year-old has a long career in the NHL behind him. He has played for San Jose, Minnesota, Buffalo, Montreal and most recently for the Los Angeles Kings. In 666, he scores 152 points.
Tim Bozon returns to Geneva. The winger has signed a one year contract with option for another season. The Franco-American, who was educated in Geneva, Kloten and Lugano, had returned to Switzerland last year to relegate to the Kloten national league. Previously, he had played six seasons in North America, mostly in the AHL.
Noah Rod seems to have no future in San Jose. The long-time Geneva striker has been placed on the California waiver list and can be hired by another NHL team. If this is not the case, his stay in North America should have expired.
