Netflix's results for the last quarter only surpassed earnings forecasts
The Netflix streaming service reported on Monday night the second quarter review of fiscal year 2018 .
Earnings per share were $ 0.85, while analysts averaged $ 0.80. Netflix has recorded a business turnover of $ 3.90 billion and has slightly disappointed – experts were expecting $ 3.94 billion here.
In the same quarter of the previous year, EPS was $ 0.15 and sales were $ 2.79 billion.
Investors took a particularly negative note on subscriber growth: the group was able to gain 5.15 million new subscriber customers in the second quarter – analysts had predicted more than 6.2 million customers in the pipeline. In the outlook, the company is piling up so deeply: In the third quarter, Netflix expects a growth of 5 million euros, experts previously expected 5.6 million new customers.
